WEEKEND SINGLES HANDICAP KNOCKOUT
The draw is on the noticeboard. Please arrange your match. Notify the Lady Captain, who will prepare cards for your match. Play is off the red plates for everyone.
BRONZE III PENNANT
Commences on Friday 17th April at Monash against Monash. Good luck to the Team-Jo Pearce, Gillian Wood, Elle Gregory, Judy Spicer and Sue Lewis (Res).
CADDIES TROPHY
Now 7th May. For all members who have caddied for a Bayview member in an event run by Golf NSW or at a registered golf club in the year since the trophy was last contested.
RESULTS
BAYWARR HOOK 9th April
Warringah arrived with a strong team of 28 ladies to contest the Baywarr Hook, played as an aggregate Stableford in pairs.
Bayview’s winning pair was Gillian Wood and Di Doering (far right) with an excellent aggregate score of 71 points. For Warringah, Susan Kruse and Vanessa Murphy were the standout pair, finishing with 59 points. Bayview claimed overall honours as the winning club on the day.
A sincere thank you to Captain Pam Cooke and President Carol Richmond (above left) for organising the Warringah contingent to visit. Next year, the Baywarr Hook will be hosted by Warringah on Tuesday 11 May 2027, followed by celebrations in their new clubhouse.
BRONZE II SHIELD
The team – Virginia McClelland, Barbara Gavin, Jo Pearce, Liz Kelly & Gillian Wood played their final match on 19th April at Ryde Parramatta against Avondale, with an extremely early start. They finished a commendable 5th out of 7 clubs.
Well done to the entire team who played across the six rounds. A sincere thank you to Convenor Ann-Maree McDivitt for her efforts in organising the team and managing to field players each week. The day concluded with a very enjoyable lunch, courtesy of the new caterers.
WEEKEND MEDAL 2
11th April. Congratulations to the winners: Div 1 Raelene Dockrill (75c/b), Div 2 Trish Gillett (73) and Div 3 Sue Lewis (74).
JUNIOR NEWS
Izumi Gereux delivered an outstanding performance to win the Australian Masters (US Kids Golf) in the 11–12 age division, held at Hunter Valley Golf Club on April 9–10.
Izumi claimed victory across both rounds, posting scores of 85 and 82 for an impressive gross total of 167. Her second round was a highlight, featuring three birdies and showcasing her composure and skill under pressure.
Adding to an already remarkable tournament, Izumi teamed up with her father to win the Parent-Child event in the 11–12 age group, combining for a winning score of 34 strokes.
A fantastic achievement and a memorable event for Izumi and her family.
