Bayview Brigade

CALL TO ARMS (AND LEGS)

The Bayview Brigade is a volunteer group who give their time once a month to help with the maintenance of our great golf course. The brigade has been going for over 20 years and generally has had around 15 members. Some have been involved for most of the 20 years.

Through various circumstances we have had a number retire from the golf club, the state, change membership categories, or just leave the group. We would like to recruit newer volunteers who have some time available to assist.

We meet once a month for 3 hours and are assigned various jobs by the course superintendent. We will also put our hands up to help if extreme weather events cause damage. We aim to meet on the 3rd Monday of each month from 8.30 to 11.30 after which each volunteer gets to taste the delights of David Smiths BBQ efforts and get a free drink.

If you see the amount of work our greens staff do you will appreciate how any help they get is gratefully received. So if you can spare three hours once a month please think about helping. This is not a hard and fast commitment most of us miss 2 or 3 volunteer days. No letter is required from your mothers, we all have days which don’t suit or have travel commitments etc.

If you can help please contact Steve Klug on 0403 339 680 by message or request to join our WhatsApp group Bayview Brigade.

Thank you,

Steve Klug
