BAYVIEW 2026 GRADE

Raelene Dockrill, Chris Jacobs, Sally Kay, Megan Kennedy, Jo Hunter, Lisa White & Charme Freeman
Killara Golf Club proudly hosted the presentation, where the Division 2 Pennant flag was awarded to the Bayview Grade Team following their outstanding season. The team capped off the season with a win, finishing on an impressive 19.5 points, with a record of four wins, one square, and one round cancelled due to rain. Our Grade team will now move to Division 1 in 2027. We wish them every success in this prestigious event.
Field Captain Charme Freeman accepted the flag on behalf of the team, marking a special moment for all involved. Charme delivered a wonderful speech, graciously thanking everyone who contributed to the team’s success and warmly congratulating her teammates on a truly memorable achievement.

A special congratulations to Sally Kay, who received the individual medal for remaining unbeaten throughout the entire season—an outstanding personal achievement. All Grade team members received special medals, which will be treasured.
A mighty thank you to the caddies for their support and strength. Chris Jacobs, Sandra Callabretta, Lisa Darke, Ros Cetinich & Charme Freeman.
Bayview Golf Club was buzzing with excitement as many members gathered to celebrate the outstanding success of the Women’s Grade team on Friday night.
The clubhouse was filled with a wonderful sense of pride and camaraderie, as players and supporters came together to recognise a truly memorable season. The Women’s Grade team’s achievement brought great joy to the club, and it was clear that their success was shared by the entire golfing community at Bayview.
The celebration was a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge the dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship shown throughout the season. Members enjoyed the chance to reflect on the team’s journey, share stories from the matches, and applaud the players who contributed to such a significant accomplishment. It was a fitting tribute to a remarkable team effort, and a reminder of the strong spirit that makes Bayview such a special place. Congratulations once again to the Women’s Grade team on a well-deserved success. The pennant flag will be proudly displayed at the club in the near future, along with photos of the team.

HISTORICAL NOTE
Bayview won Div 2 in 1969, 1980 and 1984. Lisa White and her mum, Pam Byrnes, were in the 1984 team. Incredible to think Lisa has done it twice. Check out the 1984 photo, which included Joyce Dalton (many will remember Joyce) and Shirley Sherwin (Barrenjoey creator) and Sue Lewis’ mum.
BRONZE II SHIELD
Bronze II played at Pymble against Oatlands and won 3.5 to 1.5. The team of Caroline Blackmore, Elizabeth Steel, Gillian Wood, Barbara Gavin and Jo Pearce played excellent golf in wet conditions after a ferocious storm tore through Sydney the night before. We are all thrilled for you and so proud of your achievement. Unfortunately wet, windy, cold conditions were not conducive to photography. Thank you to the greens staff at all courses who worked tirelessly to return the courses to normal. Good luck Bronze II for your next round at Concord against Pennant Hills.
PLEASE NOTE
WOMEN’S SATURDAY COMP
Has been reinstated as of 28th March 2026. There will be a prize for the winner, runner-up, scratch and NTP. We hope many lady members will come and join the competition. Upgrading your membership to Platinum is pro rata, so it’s a very small outlay for a great game on a Saturday.
HELP SAVE FUEL (just a suggestion)
Allow the greens staff to complete their mowing section, rather than idling while waiting for us to hit.
POSSIBLE CHANGE TO CALENDAR
The final for the 4BBB Handicap Knockout is on 23rd April. The Caddies trophy is scheduled for the same date. If one of the finalists has been a caddy, the caddies’ trophy will be postponed to Thursday 7th May.
